Port Browning & Ganges

We made the short cruise from Poets Cove to Port Browning on Sunday.

Following Salish Nomad through the narrow channel:

Although we hadn't boated to the Port Browning Marina before, when we made the short hike into town we realized we'd been there before via shuttle on a previous trip to the island.

We enjoyed our stay. The facility is undergoing improvements and the setting is very nice.

Touch of Gray and Salish Nomad:
Beautiful purple sea stars on the dock:
Port Browning Marina area:

The boats departed for Ganges, Salt Spring Island, on Monday. When we were here before we anchored, so this is the first time we've been at one of the marinas. The gate is conveniently located between a tiny vaping shop and a tiny CBD shop.

They put us at a party dock with Salish Nomad:

Ganges is a nice little town; good coffee (Salt Spring Coffee), shopping, restuarants, and grocery stores. Quite eccentric, in our opinion. Not sure I have ever seen as many dreadlocks.

We took a 2-ish mile walk out to a nearby point and found a lovely beach:

Had the beer and burger special at Moby's Pub. I ordered their veggie burger, made from curried chickpeas so tasted like falafel. Delicious!

Due to wind and weather, we'll leave for Thetis Island this morning after reprovisioning.
