Summer Cruise 2021 | The Sierra Leg | Days 3 & 4

First...a correction: the students Sierra worked with on the Oregon dig were from U of O. NOT OSU. An important distinction for lovers...or haters...of the Ducks.

We cruised uneventfully yesterday from Langley to La Conner. AT replaced ToG's accumulator tank, which was not holding pressure.

The weather has been overcast but we finally got sun in the late afternoon, in time to enjoy a glass of wine on the top deck. We had dinner at La Conner's new The Fork at Skagit Bay, serving "Upscale Southern Comfort Food." Sierra had catfish, Nick ordered their boullebais, and I went with the shrimp and grits. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our choices. We add this restaurant to our list of area faves.

I took this photo during my shift at the helm, while Sierra and Nick practiced boating fitness:

This photo shows Sierra using my fishing magnet on the Langley dock:
Unfortunately, the treasure hunter in her was not satisfied.

On another front, this photo is of the brand new Coorie Doon! She is being prepped for delivery and we can't wait to meet the Z's in the islands later this month.

Next stop: Cypress Island.
