Friday Harbor
We’re keeping an eye on the ever-changing weather forecast and have already altered our itinerary. We motored directly to Friday Harbor from Rosario yesterday, mostly just to hunker down during rain and potential wind. Don’t think we’ve ever seen fewer boats here – the benefits of boating during shoulder seasons!
Yesterday afternoon was beautiful. We walked around town, enjoyed a beverage at the San Juan Island Brewing Co., and made the obligatory visit to Kings Marine. (I purchased Taylor Made Charlevoix Flag Clips for our AT burgee. They installed easily and hopefully this will reduce the noise.)
We enjoyed another beverage on our top deck – who knew the mast can also function as a table!
Being the Coast Guard brat that I am, I find everything USCG interesting. Fun to watch this cutter come into port and undergo training exercises.

On our bike ride from Rosario to East Sound I ‘spotted’ this deer with a small group along the road. Looks like an appaloosa!
