Young Hill, again...and again...wow!

Yesterday started out quite lovely and we docked the dinghy at English Camp, hiked the Bell Point trail, and then continued through the park and up...and up...to Young Hill. We made it to the top this time and the view did not disappoint:
The afternoon was rainy so we hunkered down, cooked and ate our crab.

The evening cleared up so we had a nice paddle up the slough and around Guss Island.

We got a few more crabs out of the pot...and then a few more this morning.

Much better weather today so we loaded up the bikes and rode to Friday Harbor. (Got sprinkled on for a few minutes.) The paella at the farmers market was delicious. We chose  seafood (mussels, clams, prawns, calamari) but the meat and the veggie also looked wonderful. The thirty-minute wait was worth it!
On the way back we stopped to enjoy a wine flight at San Juan Vineyards. We sat next to a couple who just ordered a  27' Ranger Tug. We had a great conversation with them about boating, retirement (or lack thereof), and life in general (travels, grandkids, etc.).

Speaking of food, the following photo is from our daughter. She had a dinner yesterday, of haggis with mashed potatoes, carrots, and turnips...with whiskey sauce! Yum!!!
Sierra is currently on an archeological dig in the Scottish Highlands, and a local from the crew invited them all over for a meal. Lucky girl!
