Oh Canada...

Due to weather, we changed our plans and went directly from Friday Harbor to Victoria B.C. on Friday. The fog was thick, and there were a lot of shrimpers. The fog cleared and our crossing was mostly smooth. We pulled into the harbor, cleared customs, and tied up at the Causeway Marina.

Customs took a while, and they sent two officers to the dock to talk with us.

Drake and Nick had beautiful G&T's at the Empress, with their butterfly pea flower gin that changes color when tonic is added:
We took a walk through Beacon Hill park:
Yesterday, we watched the water taxi ballet:
So nice to get a break from the rain!

The three of us walked about ten miles yesterday, around the harbor and Fisherman's Wharf. Nick and Drake went back to the boat for a beer while I took a tour of the CCGS Sir Willard Grenfell. It just happened to be Coast Guard Day!
We tried a different Ramen place - Ghost Ramen - which we really enjoyed. We all agreed the pork belly was the best ever.

The highlight of our visit was the water taxi Pickle Pub Tour. We tootled around on the water taxis, visiting four establishments and getting free appetizers with the purchase of beverages. So much fun!

We'll head to Roche Harbor this morning to beat the incoming weather system.
