Continuing North

Other than some rain, Blake Island was as blissfull as ever. Glad we spent two nights. Had some great otter sightings, although I felt bad for the guy whose boat the otter kept pooping on. (One of the park service boats.)

Wild iris at the West Campground:

We left early for the five hour-ish cruise to Langley. Quite a bit of sailing activity going on.

The Alex Haley in need of a paint job:

We arrived in Langley and walked through town, of course visiting the Star Store for a few necessities. I was determined, this trip, to find something fun for the boat.

Let there be light:

We decided to make Coupeville our next stop because we haven't been there for a while, and not in this boat. We haven't enjoyed the Coupeville Wharf in the past because of the crowded dock and forced rafting. We spoke with Harbormaster Patrick at Langley and he thinks we'll have no problem today. It's Sunday, and the marinas are a bit slow between Memorial Day weekend and the start of crabbing season. We'll see how it goes.
