Port Sidney & Poets Cove

Happy Mothers Day!

ToG crossed Haro Strait Friday morning. Absolutely dead flat calm.

Clearing customs was a breeze after entering Port Sidney, and then we tied up near Salish Nomad.

We've been to this marina before but I didn't remember much about it. It didn't take me long to recognize the features. This is one of those places that check all the boxes. Upscale marina facilities, great downtown area for shopping and exploring, restaurants, scenery, and a great 2.5 mile waterfront walking path.

We hung our Canadian flag and took a walk through town.

This seal was begging like a dog at the local fish market:
Along with Dave and Jean (Salish Nomad), we dined at Riva, a nearby, very good Mediterranean restaurant.

We walked most of the waterfront trail yesterday morning and then departed for Poets Cove.

It was about 10 miles to our next destination, Poets Cove Resort & Spa in Bedwell Harbour on South Pender Island. (We've also been here before aboard Pelican, in 2017, for a rendezvous.) We tied up next to Salish Nomad just before the wind kicked up.
Some people near us in a Cutwater went out fishing but came back due to 6-foot seas!

Nick and I soaked for awhile in the hot tub.

We'll depart a little later for Port Browning, a new destination for us.
