Summer Cruise 2021 | Days 38 - 40 | Heat & Smoke

Our second anchoring experience at the head of East Sound, Orcas Island, was much different than our first. We found a spot at Judd Bay, fairly close to where we were before. Calm, calm, calm! All night!

Lunch at the Madrona Cafe: coconut curry mussels...always good...hummus...I should order something else next time.

We moved on to Anacortes on Wednesday. We were assigned an outer slip on C dock, quite a distance from the usual guest docks. Much better! A good view of the working fishing, pilot, whalewatching, and tug boats, plus bright lights at night from the refinery.
The setting sun was very red due to smoky skies from B.C. fires:
We stopped by Anacortes Marine Documentation to inquire about ToG paperwork. We were told 3 to 4 months...it's been 5. Sonya, our contact there says not to worry...just normal delays.

We arrived at the AT dock in La Conner yesterday around noon. It's hot here...and smokey.

We have a reservation at the Port of Everett for tonight.
