Poulsbo

ToG left the Foss on Wednesday morning for Blake or Bainbridge. Since we wanted to end up in Poulsbo, we decided to head straight there instead.

While we were there Nick completed the installation of the Garmin Stryker unit on the dinghy. It's not ideal and he may make a change but it's nice to see the depth now.
We took a walk to Fish Park...the woods are absolutely filled with trailing buttercup.
We practically had the place to ourselves!

We are now in route to Gig Harbor for the weekend. The weather is beautiful and our plan is to toss the anchor and hang out for a couple of days. And we hope to connect with Stay Awhile!

Note: Talked with the Port of Poulsbo staff about their reservation system because we saw many "reserved" signs, a few "open" signs...and only a couple of boats. Turns out they start switching to "reserved" on Wednesdays to prepare for the weekend. $5 gets you a reservation...by phone only. I am not sure what sense this makes. Marinas handle slip occupancy very differently, based on all kinds of things. Best to always call ahead I guess. Also, they have so much open water, they put 70 foot boats in their 40 foot slips. They are hoping to expand with some larger slips in the coming years.
