Anchored in Garrison Bay

Based on this photo one might think we've had Garrison Bay to ourselves! The reality is a bit different. Due to very low tides, boats haven't been anchoring too close to the edges.

This photo shows how busy the bay actually is this holiday weekend. It also reflects the weather better...not that much sun. (Where in the bay is Touch of Gray?)

My first photo shows Nick enjoying happy hour on the deck. This photo shows a yacht club happy hour in progress. My last count was 14 dinghies! They floated around, occasionally being propelled by one of the center boats to reposition...for hours!

Here's another shot of ToG at anchor as we made the short hike around Bell Point and then visited English Camp.

We dinghied to Roche Harbor a couple of times, and also dipped in to check out Snug Harbor, as well as the Wescott Bay Shellfish dock.

We've waited a long time to fully experience and enjoy the "slow boat fast dinghy" concept. So. Much. FUN!

We woke up to mostly sunny skies this Memorial Day. We'll hang out for a few hours and then head to Fisherman Bay, Lopez Island. We are monitoring weather conditions over the next few days to inform our plan to get home to prepare for our camping trip to Klaloch on June 7. We may have news about our fridge tomorrow, which may take us back through La Conner. If not, we'll visit Port Ludlow as we head south.
